EU state of the union astrology

The President of the European Commission delivered her annual State of the Union address to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, setting out her priorities and major initiatives for the EU for the year ahead. I want to like this chart, but it’s tough. The Moon–Mars mutual reception softens some of the more unfavourable images that come to mind. The Libra Ascendant in direct opposition to Saturn in Aries is a good thing, in my opinion. Political figures have been undergoing a process of reinvention since Saturn entered Aries. There is an understanding that rules evolve and are therefore malleable. Symbolically, this speaks to the emergence of all sorts of movements and the rise of new alliances. But it also reflects the ongoing wars and tensions, with leaders emboldened in their sometimes exaggerated ambitions. She started her address by warning that European democracies risk being undermined by the proxies and puppets of authoritarians 👀 and called on Europeans to fight back against ultranationalists, anti-European forces, Russian interference and disinformation, which she said all seek to divide Europe and shatter its unity. That Ascendant is loud; that opposition even more so. Delivering a State of the Union address with Venus in Scorpio as the chart ruler feels like a smart move. Let’s see if it pays off. I’m excited about the upcoming Venus retrograde.
